Adam Walsh Child Protection And Safety Act
Crimes Committed Under The Adam Walsh Child Protection And Safety Act
Signed into law in 2006, the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act establishes three tiers of sex offenders. Conviction of a sex offense that is enumerated under the act and designation to one of the tiers will land the offender with certain reporting requirements. The third tier is comprised of the most serious sex offenders and requires them to update their contact information and whereabouts every three months.
